Turkey chili with herb and spice blends

Who doesn't love a nice bowl of chili? Try this recipe, which uses seasonings from the Aromatic Spice Blends kitchen.


Ground turkey or chicken: 2 lbs

Onions: 1 large or 2 medium-sized (any kind)

Red bell pepper: 1 medium-sized

Celery: 2 sticks

Cilantro or Parsley: A few sprigs

Green chili: 1 (serrano or any other pepper is optional)

Fresh grated ginger: 1 tsp (optional)

Fresh grated garlic: 1 tsp (optional)

Vinegar: 1 tablespoon, or the juice of 1 lemon or lime

Kebab spice blend from Aromatic Spice Blends: 3 tsp

Mediterranean blend from Aromatic Spice Blends: 5 tsp

If you have a fiery taste, increase the number of green chilies.

Salt to taste, and a pinch of sugar (sugar is optional)

Northern beans: 1 can

Olive oil


Heat olive oil, add diced onion, bell pepper, celery sticks, sauté until translucent on medium heat. Add ground meat and saute until cooked through. Add all the ginger and garlic, spices, salt, sugar, saute for 2 min. Add vinegar or lemon/lime juice. Add the beans. Sauté together for another 3 min. Add enough water to cover the meat and allow to simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro.
